ABOUT ME

John Anthony Volpe worked within the music ministry field since 1998 and has served roles as cantor to accompanists and worked on many different teams. He directed both English speaking and Portuguese choirs, and was responsible for  the oversight of music liturgy across the diocese of Boston, Fall River, and Manchester.

John seeks ways to always support and broaden the professional and spiritual contributions to new music ministry settings across the board. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree with a specialization in Vocal Performance, and Master’s Degree in Theology specializing in Sacred Music of all faiths.

It has been his experience that the cultivation of prayer through music deepens spiritual faith. John Considers his strongest attribute in this field to be a catalyst to bringing music ministry teams together within one parish or at collaboratives found with in the Boston diocese.

John has experience as a per diem and a salaried Liturgical Musician. He is creative, resourceful and enjoy exploring innovative, individualized approaches to support music ministries across the board.

Each music ministry has its own identity that needs to be respected- that being said, John looks forward to working with you creating a team approach in the growth of your music ministry.

I’d love the opportunity to accompany you on your specific journey discovering the path to a long lasting music ministry team.
